Harry PotterPosted on May 31st, 2009 @ 9:36 pm
I just watched a documentary called “We Are Wizards” and it got me all sorts of excited about Harry Potter again. I may re-read the series before the movie comes out, and you know I will read the UK versions because my series is finally complete! yay!
Yes, that is what I am going to do.
Who wants to re-read the series again with me? Any takers? I’m starting tomorrow right after my Psych test.

Day of UselessnessPosted on May 31st, 2009 @ 7:21 pm
This weekend has been [almost] completely useless.
Completely useless things I have done:
observed my sunburn
sunburned my sunburn
aged 40 on wii fitness
got wii-itus from aging 40 on wii fitness
contemplated why I am 40 on wii fitness
Learned Physics of Sound (outside of class)
Drove to Tacoma and back
Stressed out about Neutrinos*
Cuddled my cat (unwillingly)
Useful thing I have done this weekend:
Saw UP at midnight with Christopher. (really good)
Watched people dance with fire on the beach with my future wife.
Read Octopus Pie
Discovered 27b/6
Procrastinated
Opened an Etsy Shop (www.canhaslee.etsy.com)
Made stuff to put on in my Etsy Shop
Journaled
Found a place to purchase Cow Urine on the internet
Worked on my rough draft for English
Things I should have been doing:
Finished my English rough draft
Studied for Psych Test.
Hang out with Laurel.
That is all.
*I have a complete list of things that I irrelevantly stress out about including pictures. I will post it one day. Along with other drawings and lists made during class.

Folk LifePosted on May 24th, 2009 @ 8:39 pm
The Folk Life Festival is going on at the Seattle Center right now. It is absolutely fab! We all went down yesterday and saw some pretty awesome folk bands. Bad side though? I got so sunburned that today I just stayed inside ALL DAY!
I am currently reading an amazingly scary book called “If I Am Missing or Dead” by Janine Latus. It is quite a shocker, and really intense. I highly suggest it.

I have seriously been slacking on the blogging. Lately I have just been in my own little world. All I have been wanting to do is: Yoga, perch in a windowsill, read, knit, and drink tea. I have not had the urge to be social, or even talk. Very in-my-head and I am not sure why. Probably the constant re-evaluating of my life and major goals.
Bear with me. Sorry.

It Is Time.Posted on May 20th, 2009 @ 11:03 am
For my confession. I have a Twitter. Yes. Mostly because I wanted to the authors of QC and ALM. But I have been enjoying it.

Yay!
P.s.
I got romanced via banjo this morning outside my school. It was swell.
Pps
Folk Life this weekend! So excited!

It’s just a Spill Canvas type of day, and I didn’t realize my iTunes was on song repeat.
That’s all.

I Outgeeked MyselfPosted on May 14th, 2009 @ 9:49 pm
Just Now:
I was reading QC like a normal geek does, and Dora was wearing a white shirt that said “asdfghjkl;” My roommate is sitting on her bed *across the room from me*
I print screen, paste and trim down the comic strip, attach the JPEG into gmail and email her with blabbering about “find me a shirt baahhhh…..I love the home row keys uurrrggg….”
sometimes I surprise myself with how much of a nerd I am.’

STFU I’m trying to SLEEP!Posted on May 13th, 2009 @ 9:12 pm
So, the cats have gotten to be really good friends. By friends, I mean lovers. Aparently New Kitty Babes went in to heat yesterday. Ever since then she has been screaming and howling at all hours of the night, along with Lupin fluttering after her and cooing at her. She is still not sure about him, and I think they are courting…. (Never mind, Lupin just dive-bombed her from the top of a chair.) But she is howling all night, LOUDLY and Lupin is trying to serenade her back by his soft cooing noises.
Ending conclusion: They are disrupting my sleepingness!
But, it is always better than going to sleep wondering if I am going to wake up to a mangled Lupin and a proud Babes. They are past the whole trying-to-claw-eachother’s-faces-off stage, but I really don’t want to know about, hear, or see my fuzzy baby’s sex life. ew.
I am sleeping with my headphones in tonight. That is if I can pull my eyes away from my computer long enough to fall asleep. I have fallen in love with two webcomics: Anders Loves Maria and Questionable Content Love them.

The NewnessPosted on May 11th, 2009 @ 4:54 pm
First of all, I pulled a Laurel and neglected my blog. I apologize.
But I have a new addition to our family that I must brag about.
Here is the story:
My sister has four cats, a dog, and a 5 month old baby. One of her cats, Babes, got really stressed out due to my niece Jade and started ripping out all her hairs. Last week our household talked it over and decided to adopt her. We all arrived in Seattle Sunday night and spent the next couple of hours adoring our new furry (or lack of furry?) child and breaking up the cat fights.
My cat Lupin has been forced to learn that the apartment is not in fact HIS, despite his previous experiences. Last night there was a lot of Babes chasing Lupin and wacking him in the face, and the three of us chasing them around and checking for blood. They both slept in seperate rooms (lupin in mine, and Babes in Christopher’s) and today they were doing much better.
After school today, Christopher and I allwed monitored integration which (suprisingly) only resulted in a couple of growls and hissing. They can be in the same room un monitored already, and there are only a couple of hisses when Lupin sneaks up on Babes.
Babes is doing really well though, she is no longer stressed out, she gets plenty of attention, and there has been no reports of hair-rip-out-idge.
In due time, there will be cat peace in our house, and we will have a completed family.
